Mahindra Scorpio Classic S5 variant to join line-up soon
Mahindra intends to expand the Scorpio Classic's variant lineup. The new model, which will fall between the Classic S and Classic S11 trims, is most likely to be known as the Classic S5.
The S5 version of the Scorpio is expected to get body-coloured bumpers, steel wheels with covers, central locking, an audio system, and electrically adjustable ORVMs are among the features that are anticipated. Features like projector headlights with LED DRLs, follow-me-home headlamps, rear wash and wipe, front armrests, and a faux leather steering wheel are probably not included.
The new S5 model will include twin airbags, collapsible steering, engine immobilizer, seat belt reminder, and speed warning as standard safety equipment.
The same Gen 2 mHawk, 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine, with 132hp and 300Nm of torque, will power the Classic S5. It transmits power to the rear wheels using a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is now available for between Rs. 12.64 lakh and Rs. 16.14 lakh. We expect the new Classic S5 model to cost around Rs 14 lakh.
