Toyota is expanding its SUV roster with the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, a hybrid-only crossover SUV based on the company's flagship Crown sedan. The new two-row SUV will replace the Venza, which will be phased out after the current model year in 2024 and just like the new-gen Toyota Camry, the Crown Signia will be built on the TNGA-K platform.

Toyota Crown Signia: Exterior

The Crown Signia is an exact replica of the Crown Estate SUV, which will be available in other countries. The front appearance takes the Crown sedan's slim running lights and distinct lower headlights. Its small overhangs and low roofline give it a sportier appearance when compared to regular SUVs.

The Limited model has 21-inch dark grey metallic alloy wheels, while the XLE has black-accented 19-inch multi-spoke machine-finished two-tone alloy wheels. Storm Cloud, Finish Line Red, Oxygen White, Black, and Bronze Age are the exterior paint choices.

Toyota Crown Signia: Powertrain

The engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder normally aspirated engine. This combines with three electric motors - two sandwiched into the front half and one out back to provide rear-wheel traction when needed - to produce a total of 243PS.

It transfers all of that power to the road via an electronic CVT transmission with Normal, Eco, and Sport settings chosen by the driver. Variable torque distribution is used in the AWD system to increase traction while cutting fuel consumption. It operates quietly behind the curtains and can transfer up to 80 percent of available power to the rear wheels to reduce front wheel slip and 100 percent to the front wheels during highway driving.

Toyota Crown Signia: Interior

The dashboard is similar to that of the Crown Crossover, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. This system supports over-the-air (OTA) updates and provides linked services. The five-seat arrangement provides plenty of space for rear passengers. The XLE grade has a 6-speaker sound system, and the Limited grade enjoys an 11-speaker JBL Premium audio system.

You may choose between two inside colours: saddle brown or black, both with golden accents. The leather-trimmed seats of the Limited grade have double stitching, quilting, and fillet piping. Both the driver and passenger seats have 8-way power adjustments. There are three levels of heated and ventilated seats available. A panoramic glass roof is available as an option on the Limited trim.
