Scania announces trial run of its trucks in India
Scania has announced trial runs of its trucks in India. The Volkswagen-owned company says that it has undertaken extensive research of the Indian conditions before launching the trucks here. R 500 6x4, G 460 6x4, P 410 6x2 and P 360 4x2 are currently the models being offered by Scania for Indian customers in the on-road haulage segment. Scania has been in the Indian mining industry since 2007 alongwith partners L&T.
Speaking during the launch, Henrik Fagrenius, managing director, Scania Commercial Vehicles India said, "Today is an important milestone for all of us at Scania. We believe that Indian truck buyers will have the benefit of an added choice â" trucks with outstanding fuel performance and reliability that offer them value for their investment."
