Mahindra XUV.e8 interior spied ahead of 2024 debut

Mahindra published a teaser of its next electric SUVs - XUV.e8, XUV.e9, and BE.05 - just a few days ago, although Mahindra has only been testing two of these electric SUVs thoroughly for the previous few months. The first is the BE.05, while the second is the XUV.e8, which is simply an electrified version of the current XUV700. Now, some new photographs of the Mahindra XUV.e8 have appeared online, revealing the interior of the electric SUV.

Mahindra XUV.e8: Design

These spy images of the forthcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 help us distinguish the XUV e8 from its ICE incarnation, and we can see that when it gets closer to production specs. The bodyshell, including the alloy wheel design, is totally covered in the spy pictures, but the production-spec XUV.e8 has generally comparable stylistic cues to the concept exhibited last year.

The INGLO platform will serve as the foundation for the SUV. The slim headlights and DRLs, full-width LED bar, flat bumper, aerodynamic wheels, blacked-out B and C pillars, and coupe-like tapering roofline are among the highlights.

Mahindra XUV.e8: Interior

According to the newest spy shots, the interior of the XUV.e8 will be entirely remodelled. Surprisingly, the car sports a 2-spoke steering wheel, much like the newly announced Tata Nexon facelift.

The XUV.e8's dashboard appears to be fresh new as well. It has three displays, one of which is for the instrument cluster. The centre console features a traditional automatic gear selector as well as a circular dial for the driving modes.

A Head-Up Display may be seen just behind the Driver's Instrumentation. This Display will most likely show some vehicular data, such as speed, other quantifiable numerical data, navigation, and a few car data.

Mahindra XUV.e8: Powertrain

All three upcoming SUVs are built on the INGLO platform, which can accommodate both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. Power outputs are expected to be around 285PS for the rear-wheel drive powertrain while the AWD versions could possibly be closing in on the 400PS mark.

The XUV.e8 will arrive on the market in late 2024, according to Mahindra. This implies it will be on sale at the same time as Tata Motors' main competitors, the Harrier EV and Safari EV.
