Kia K4 unveiled ahead of global debut at New York International Auto Show
Kia is really enjoying its time working with its new design philosophy and has recently published design photos for the 2019 Kia K4. The sedan is set to replace the Forte in Kia's worldwide range, but it will not make its way to India. The global premiere of the Kia K4 will take place at the New York International Auto Show, on March 27, 2024.
Kia K4: Exterior
The K4, which has the brand's now-familiar "Opposites United" design concept, draws influence from the EV9 and EV6 models. The car has sharp L-shaped vertical LED headlights flanked by a small tiger nose grille. The sharp points and lines on the front give the car a modern appearance.
The K4 also has a coupe-like back end owing to its strong D-pillars and window-mounted rear door handles. The rear boasts nearly full-width taillights with vertical aspects that mimic the front.
Kia K4: Interior
Inside, the K4's selectable two-tone colour scheme separates the driver and front passenger compartments, with the latter featuring more colour on the dashboard and door cards. Buyers will be able to select among Medium Grey, Slate Green (pictured), Canyon Brown, and Onyx Black colours.
The dashboard has a completely digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system, which have become the standard in most interior designs. The steering wheel, with its two-spoke design and offset Kia insignia, completes the interior's contemporary look.
The Kia K4's powertrain information is not yet available. However, the company will unveil everything at this year's New York International Auto Show. The car most definitely won't be coming to India because Kia India is busy expanding its SUV range as the Kia Clavis is set to arrive in the coming months.
