When you count volume automobile manufacturers around the world, you will definitely have the numbers of Hyundai, Suzuki and the likes. The name Jaguar though will not feature anywhere. However, as JLR says, they have rolled out their millionth vehicle from the Halewood plant near Liverpool in England. The milestone car was a white Evoque with red mirrors and roof, all black wheels and black-red interior and door panels. This particular car will be donated to Cancer Research UK, which in turn will then auction it next year to raise funds for the organisation. Speaking of the Evoque, the company started building the SUV nearly two years back and has so far manufactured 220,000 units of the same. JLR had also started a 24-hour shift cycle which resulted in production being ramped up and bringing the one million milestone earlier than what was predicted.

Richard Else, operations director, Halewood, said: "We are delighted to be celebrating this huge milestone for Halewood. This unique Evoque looks stunning and is a one-off vehicle that will raise money for Cancer Research UK projects here in the North West."
