Hyundai officially showcases interior of the Exter

Ahead of the 10 July launch, Hyundai has revealed the official interior pictures of the new Exter. Although the interior of the Exter takes inspiration of the on-sale Grand i10 Nios and Aura, it offers several more features and new upholstery. Notably, earlier this week, the leaked pictures of the Tata Punch's rival cabin went viral on the internet, revealing its cabin design.

Hyundai Exter Interior officially revealed

It is not secret that the interior of the new Exter, especially the dashboard layout with touchscreen infotainment and air con vents are identical to the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. First up, the seats will get semi-leatherette upholstery with 'Exter' lettering embroidered on them. In addition, the cabin will get an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with in-built navigation and a digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch colour TFT MID. Also on offer will be over 60 connected car features, comprising features such as vehicle diagnostics, voice assistance, safety and security, location-based functions, and remote access. Hyundai will also equip it with cruise control and TPMS.

Part of the feature-list will be software OTA updates, a voice assisted electric sunroof, 90 embedded voice commands, a dual dash cam, 10 Indian and two international languages support for infotainment system, ESC, hill start assist, six airbags, Home to Car (H2C) voice command function in Hindi and English with Alexa compatibility, and seven ambient sounds of nature.

Hyundai Exter variants and colours

The SUV will be offered in seven variants, namely EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect across a range of single- and dual-tone colour schemes. The colour options are Cosmic Blue, Ranger Khaki, Atlas White, Starry Night, Fiery Red, and Titan Grey, including Atlas Black with Abyss Black, Ranger Khaki with Abyss Black, and Cosmic Blue with Abyss Black.

Hyundai Exter Engine, power outputs, and transmission

The Hyundai Exter will be powered by a 1.2-litre, inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol unit paired with to a five-speed manual or AMT automatic transmission. It is likely to deliver 83PS and 114Nm of torque. Meanwhile, Hyundai could also offer a CNG version of the SUV.
