Hyundai recently introduced the Creta Adventure Edition alongside the Alcazar Adventure Edition in India. With this introduction, the top-selling compact SUV in its segment receives a new color and several contrasting elements both inside and out, enhancing its standout presence among the crowd. Based on the SX and SX (O) variants, the Adventure Edition model is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with manual and automatic transmission options. But how does it compare to the 2023 Kia Seltos X-Line facelift? Let's delve into the details.

First and foremost, the Creta Adventure Edition features a new Ranger Khaki color. Additionally, it is offered in three other paint options: Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Titan Grey. This new shade is complemented by black highlights on the grille, skid plates, black-painted alloy wheels, roof rails, ORVM caps, shark fin antenna, and C-pillars. Hyundai has also incorporated a dark chrome finish on the Hyundai logos and model designation. Moreover, the model boasts door cladding, red brake callipers at the front, and 'Adventure' badges. Inside, the cabin stands out with an all-black interior, Light Sage Green inserts, Adventure Edition seats, a new dashcam featuring dual cameras, metal pedals, and new mats.

In contrast, the 2023 Kia Seltos X-Line facelift presents an Xclusive Matte Graphite paint scheme. The manufacturer has replaced chrome accents on the SUV with black elements. Additionally, a new front bumper with a black skid plate enhances its exterior look. Internally, the X-Line integrates a combination of black and green inserts.

The Creta Adventure Edition is equipped with a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 115PS and 144Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to either a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. On the other hand, the Seltos X-Line facelift offers two engine choices: a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a seven-speed DCT automatic and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel unit coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. The former produces 160PS and 230Nm of torque, while the latter delivers 116PS and 250Nm of torque.

Sitting at the top of their respective line-ups, both special edition SUVs offer an array of features. Common features for the Creta Adventure Edition and Kia Seltos X-Line facelift include LED headlamps, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, powered driver's seat, Bose sound system, ESP, six airbags, traction control, TPMS, air purifier, fully digital driver display, a substantial touchscreen infotainment system, and connected car technology, among others. However, the Seltos X-Line distinguishes itself with additional advanced features, such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-inch heads-up display, dual-zone temperature control, and ADAS. The Creta Adventure Edition, on the other hand, features a dual-camera dash cam.

2023 Hyundai Creta Adventure Edition vs 2023 Kia Seltos X-Line facelift: Prices

The Creta Adventure Edition SX MT is priced at Rs 15.17 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Creta Adventure Edition SX (O) AT comes with a price tag of Rs 17.89 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the range-topping 2023 Seltos X-Line facelift is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). In conclusion, despite the Seltos X-Line facelift having a considerably higher price than the Creta Adventure Edition, it offers an array of advanced features, including ADAS, a refreshed appearance both inside and out, and most notably, the choice of two distinct engines.
