Harley-Davidson X440 launched in India; prices start at Rs 2.29 lakh

Harley-Davidson has introduced the all-new X440 in India today with prices starting at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The neo-retro roadster is available in a choice of three variants, namely Denim, Vivid, and S. Notably, the base-spec trim comes with wire-spoke wheels and a single-tone paint job, while other two trims get alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the launch event was organised at the Hero MotoCorp's Global Centre of Innovation and Technology in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where the X440 was co-developed as a part of the partnership between Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson.

It comes with a range of colour options, such as Mustard Denim, Metallic Dark Silver, Metallic Thick Red, and Matt Black. While the X440 Denim is priced at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the Vivid costs Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas, the range-topping X440 S comes with a sticker price of Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

Harley-Davidson X440: Features And Specs

The X440 features a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also comes with smart connect features, such as call answering, message alerts, and music control. Other features include all-LED lighting and dual-channel ABS. Further, it comes equipped with 43mm upside-down front forks and dual rear spring shocks with pre-load adjustability. There are single-disc brakes at both ends with a large 320mm disc at the front.

Harley-Davidson X440: Engine

Powering the Harley-Davidson X440 is a new 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled two-valve engine producing 27.37PS at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
