Honda Brio Amaze automatic in India first drive
The Brio Amaze, Honda's answer to Maruti's Dzire, will be available from the off in an automatic version as well. But where the Dzire gets a 4-speed automatic transmission the Brio Amaze automatic will feature a 5-speed automatic similar to the one we recently drove in the Brio. The torque converter 5-speed transmission is quick shifting and is a delight to drive around town. The Arai claimed figure for mileage from the auto box sedan is 15.5kmpl, that's just one kilometre less than the claimed figure for the Brio hatch automatic. Going by our test with the Brio hatch you can expect a real world figure in the range of 11-12kmpl in a city running cycle.
We expect the pricing to be similar to if not cheaper than the Dzire automatic, making this new sedan a great option to look at when your stepping up from a hatch.
