BluSmart Mobility set to add 4,000 Citroen eC3 EVs to its fleet
BluSmart, a leading full-stack vertically integrated e-mobility ride-hailing service and EV charging infrastructure network firm, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Citroen to incorporate 4,000 EVs into its fleet. 125 Citroen e-C3 were launched at BluSmart's EV charging superhub in Bangalore as part of the first phase.
Citroen and BluSmart Mobility will continue to develop their fleet and infrastructure to generate good change in the urban transportation scene. With their combined experience and resources, the journey continues higher. BluSmart currently runs over 7,000 electric vehicles.
The Citroen e-C3 has a stated ARAI range of 320km and incorporates cutting-edge rapid charging technology, allowing it to charge completely in less than an hour.
BluSmart also owns and runs 4,400 EV Chargers throughout its 36 EV Charging superhubs, which span 1.5 million square feet in the heavily crowded megacities of Delhi NCR and Bangalore. BluSmart has signed a multi-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Trading Company Ltd. (TPTCL) to get green power. BluSmart becomes the first mobility player in India to shift from zero tailpipe emissions to a 100 percent emission-free firm as a result of this strategic engagement, marking a key milestone toward the company's aim to "Decarbonise Mobility at Scale".
Commenting on the partnership with Citroën, Anmol Jaggi, Co-founder & CEO, BluSmart said, "Having a shared vision of achieving net-zero mobility, providing premium, reliable and safe ride experience, Citroën is the ideal partner for BluSmart. With the mission to 'Decarbonise Mobility at Scale', we are dedicated to constructing a comprehensive EV mobility ecosystem in India, encompassing the nation's largest all-electric ride-hailing service and an extensive network of EV charging superhubs. As more OEMs embrace eMobility, and our fleet size expands, we are poised to address the burgeoning demand for ride-hailing services in Indian megacities while offering riders a diverse range of advanced EVs."
