2026 Yamaha R15 price cut by Rs 5,000; Base model starts at Rs 1.51 lakh
The Yamaha R15 has received a price cut of Rs 5,000 on every variant as a part of the 70th Anniversary Special Price Initiative.

- Base model R15 S starts at Rs 1.51 lakh and the top model R15 M will cost Rs 1.81 lakh
- Apart from price, there are no other changes
Because of the price cut, the base model - R15 S now retails at Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top model will now cost you Rs 1.81 lakh (ex-showroom). These new prices are in effect starting January 5 and the brand has not announced a specific timeline for the validity of these new prices, thus they can change at any time according to the brand's preference.
Apart from the price, there are no other changes with the R15, the bike is offered with the same engine and features. In terms of features, the bike comes with turn-by-turn navigation, LED turn indicators, riding modes (Track and Street), a bi-directional quickshifter (R15 M), Bluetooth connectivity, bi-functional LED, traction control system, dual-channel ABS and Yamaha Y-Connect app support to name a few.
In terms of cycle parts, the bike is powered by a 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. The engine pushes a good 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The bike rides on 17-inch alloys that is shod with 100 section tyre up front and 140 section at the rear. The engine is nestled in a Deltabox frame suspended by a 37 mm USD fork up front and a link-type monocross suspension at the rear. And braking duties are done by a 220 mm rotor up front and a 282 mm rotor at the rear.
The bike has a saddle height of 815 mm, a minimum ground clearance of 170 mm, a 11-litre fuel tank and it tips the scales at 141 kg. The Yamaha R15 locks horns with the likes of the KTM RC 200, Pulsar 200 NS, and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 to name a few.
