2024 Bajaj Urbane electric scooter launched at Rs 1.15 lakh
Bajaj Auto has launched the 2024 Chetak Urbane electric scooter variant in India with prices starting at Rs 1,15,001 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). The offering is now available in two versions, Standard and TecPac, the latter upgrades its performance and adds a few features.
2024 Bajaj Urbane: Battery, range, and top speed
Powering the Chetak Urbane is a 2.9kWh battery pack that offers a range of 113km on a full charge compared to the Premium variant of the electric scooter. While the standard variant of the e-scooter provides a top speed of 63kmph, the TechPac tops out at 73kmph. Similarly, the former comes with only one ride mode, called Eco, the latter gets two, namely Eco and Sports. However, the charging time for both versions is rated at a claimed four hours and 50 minutes.
2024 Bajaj Chetak Urbane: Colours, features, and specifications
The TecPac also equips the Chetak Urbane with hill hold, reverse mode, and full compatibility of app connectivity comprising OTA update and more. The standard one has limited access to the connectivity features. Additionally, Bajaj offers four paint options with the electric scooter: Matte Coarse Grey, Brooklyn Black, Indigo Metallic, and Cyber White. Meanwhile, it retains the same circular LCD digital cluster. In terms of hardware, the Chetak Urbane comes fitted with drum brakes at the front and rear instead of the front disc brake setup of the Chetak Premium.
