Simple Dot One e-scooter launched at Rs 99,999

Simple Energy announced the price of its most affordable electric scooter, the Dot One New Simple One Dot: Range, Battery, and power outputs

The new Dot One comes with a 3.7kWh battery pack that has a certified range of 151km on a single charge, while the IDC test cycle range is rated at 160km. Like the on-sale One e-scooter, the Dot One also produces 8.5kW of peak power and 72Nm of torque, resulting 0-40kmph in a claimed 2.77 seconds. Besides that, the Dot One comes with 750W charger.

Its elder sibling, the One, boasts a 5kWh battery pack providing an IDC range of 212km and its electric motor makes 4.5kW (8.5kW at peak) and 72Nm of torque. However, both e-scooters top out at 105kmph.

New Simple One Dot: Features and specifications

The new Dot One benefits from an increased 35 litres of under-seat storage as against 30 litres storage of One. The e-scooter features all-LED lighting, a touchscreen cluster Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support, ride modes (Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic), and reversing assist, among others. In terms of hardware, it gets conventional telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, 12-inch wheels at both ends, and a 200mm front and a 190mm rear disc brake setup.

New Simple One Dot: Design and colours

The Dot One looks identical to the One electric scooter. It comes with four paint options: Namma Red, Azure Blue, Brazen Black, and Grace White, whereas Simple Energy also offers BrazenX and LightX for customers looking for customisation.
