MG ZS EV, Comet EV get new variants
MG Motor India has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio with the introduction of new variants. The company introduced the 'ZS EV Excite Pro', a new variant of its MG ZS, at Rs 19.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, the brand has launched the Comet EV with fast charging options in two new variants – Excite and Exclusive with prices starting at Rs 6.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Excite Pro variant offers a panoramic sunroof. With this, the ZS EV is now available in four variants, namely Executive, Excite Pro, Exclusive Plus, and Essence, with a starting price of Rs 18.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the ZS EV is a 50.3kWh battery pack with a range of up to 461km. The PMSM motor paired with the battery generates 177PS and 280Nm of torque.
MG Comet EV Excite FC and Exclusive FC: Highlights
The new Comet variants, called the Excite FC and Exclusive FC, come with fast charging options, priced at Rs 8.23 lakh and Rs 9.13 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. These variants come equipped with an electronic parking brake, electronic stability control, rear disc brake, hill-hold control, and AC fast charging options. Other key features of the Comet EV include a dual-screen setup, over 55 connected car features, and over 100 voice commands with 35 Hinglish commands.
Powering the Comet EV is a 17.3kWh battery pack with an ARAI range of up to 230km. The power output of an electric motor coupled to the battery pack is rated at 42PS and 110Nm of torque.
