Honda City receives minor updates on feature list
Honda Cars India has revised the model selection of the 4th and 5th generation Honda City sedans in the country. Honda has also recently introduced the Honda City e:HEV hybrid in the country. Honda has now introduced a new feature to the fourth-generation model while removing certain features from the fifth-generation model.
The 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with previous-generation software) is now standard on the entry-level SV petrol manual model, which was previously only available on the V trim. Instead of chrome door handles, the 5th generation Honda City has plain black plastic door handles. It's worth noting that it's standard across the board.
The 15-inch steel wheel has replaced the 16-inch dual-tone spare alloy wheel. The full-size spare wheel and front and rear mud protectors have been removed from the basic V model. Furthermore, Honda aims to eliminate trim emblems such as V, VX, and ZX from its vehicle line-up in India, with the exception of the recently released e:HEV hybrid.
The 5th-generation Honda City is priced between Rs 11.38 lakh to Rs 15.33 lakh. The 1.5L petrol and diesel engines in the Honda City are reported to produce 121bhp and 145Nm of torque, respectively, and 100bhp. The sedan is available with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
