Yamaha recently launched the updated Aerox 155 S variant, offering a host of new features that enhance convenience and security. It costs Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom), representing a slight premium of around Rs 3,000 over the standard variant and is available in two colour options: Racing Blue and Silver. Here are top highlights at what sets this model apart from the standard version.

Yamaha Aerox 155 S: What is new?

The Aerox 155 S comes equipped with a smart key system, allowing for keyless ignition. With this, the user can start the scooter simply by being near the vehicle with the key fob, eliminating the need for a physical key. A similar keyless feature was also introduced with the Honda Activa a few months ago. Additionally, an immobiliser automatically locks the scooter when the key is out of range, enhancing security and preventing unauthorised access. Further, the user can locate the scooter from a distance using the smart key fob, which activates flashing blinkers and a buzzer sound.
