Auto Expo 2023: Tata Altroz Racer showcased as the most powerful Altroz ever

At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors unveiled the Altroz Racer edition. This would be the sportier Hyundai i20 N Line's response from Tata.

The hatch's structural foundation hasn't been changed by Tata. We don't think this is a terrible idea because the Altroz is already one of the most dynamically successful models in its class.

Regarding appearance, the hatch resembles a normal vehicle in most respects. However, the hatchback has a sporty appearance thanks to its blacked-out top and alloy wheels. The interior of the hatch is all black with several red accents on the console and seats to create contrast. A sunroof and a bigger entertainment system are also included, which are features that are currently absent from the regular vehicle.

The Nexon's 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which produces 120PS and 170Nm, powers the Altroz Racer. The Altroz i-Turbo, in comparison, produces 110PS and 140Nm, which is 10PS and 30Nm less than the sportier variant. Additionally, it receives the TA78 six-speed manual transmission in favour of the i-five-speed Turbo's MT.

The Altroz Racer has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heated front seats, an air purifier, a sunroof, and six airbags as standard interior features. It now has fresh seat upholstery and an updated instrument cluster design.

If the Tata Altroz Racer does become a reality we expect it to be priced at Rs 10 lakh.
