2022 Mercedes-Benz C-class to debut on May 10 with pre-bookings already underway

Regarded as the 'baby S-class', Mercedes-Benz are all set to launch the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-class in India on May 10. The German manufacturer has begun taking reservations solely for Mercedes-Benz customers as of today, with reservations for other potential buyers beginning on May 1. The token amount for pre-bookings is Rs 50,000.

In the Mercedes-Benz sedan lineup, the C-Class lies above the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine but below the wildly popular Mercedes-Benz E-Class. At launch, it will be offered in three models: C200, C300d and C220d.

2022 Mercedes-Benz C-class: Exterior and Interior

The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will have a reworked front grille, sharper LED headlights with integrated DRLs in the style of eyebrows, split LED tail lamps, and wheels ranging in size from 17 to 19 inches. To be honest, from a visual perspective, it does live up to its 'baby S-class' nickname.

The vertically stacked 9.5-inch touchscreen entertainment system that rests diagonally on the centre console will be a significant increase over the preceding generation. Aside from that, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will include an all-digital driver's display, active steering aid, a 360-degree camera, linked car technology called 'Hey Mercedes,' and plenty more.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Martin Schwenk, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, "The C-Class is an important product in our portfolio and will strengthen our luxury sedan offering even more. With every new generation, the loyal customers of the C-Class have preferred the car owing to its superior comfort, technological prowess and evolving design. The new C-Class now creates a new benchmark by excelling in design, comfort and tech offerings, moving closer to the New S-Class, rightly underlining its popularity as the Baby S-Class"
