2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 bookings begin ahead of April 21 launch
Maruti Suzuki has now officalliy started accepting bookings for the facelifted 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6. The refreshed six-seater MPV is set to launch in India on April 21 and bookings can be made online or at Nexa dealerships. The booking amount for the 2022 XL6 is Rs 11,000. This comes soon after Maruti Suzuki started accepting bookings for the related Ertiga.
2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift new engine, gearboxIt is expected that the facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 will debut the K15C petrol motor in the Indian market. This is a development of the current K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and should come with a 10PS bump in power, upping outputs to 115PS and 138 Nm. This motor has already debuted internationally on the Suzuki Vitara where it's paired with an electric motor. For the XL6, the motor will probably get the mild-hybrid electrical assistance it is already equipped with.
A more significant change expected is that the revised XL6 will get a new six-speed torque converter automatic to replace the earlier four-speed units. This too has debuted on the Suzuki Vitara and in the XL6 should be accompanied by the five-speed manual.
2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift new features, styling
On the outside, the 2022 Maruti XL6 facelift should get a new grille somewhat similar to the one recently seen on the new Baleno. There should be minor changes to the bumper while a new set of alloy wheels can be expected. On the inside, there should be new interior finishes and colours as well as more features like standard climate control, and a larger 9-inch infotainment system. Safety equipment should also be improved to six airbags on the top variants.
2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift expected prices, rivalsThe Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift should see a Rs 40,000 to 50,000 price increase. Currently, prices for the six-seater MPV start from Rs 10.14 lakh and go up to Rs 12.02 lakh. Te XL6 competes most closely with the naturally-aspirated variants of the Kia Carens. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with similar changes should follow soon after.
