Maruti Suzuki spotted testing the facelifted XL6 MPV in black camo wrap
The news of a new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was out of the bag last week after spy images of it being tested went on the internet. Turns out Maruti Suzuki is also in the works of the facelifted XL6 as well after spy images were captured of the vehicle being tested.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift is expected to receive minor cosmetic changes, like LED headlights, new bumpers and alloy wheels. The MPV might get new upholstery and an upgraded touchscreen Smartplay Studio infotainment system on the interior.
The redesigned Maruti Suzuki XL6 test mule is totally wrapped in black camouflage, which hides the majority of the upcoming improvements. Even while the single slat unit from the previous generation is likely to be carried over, the grille appears to have been altered.
According to rumours, Maruti may also release a 7-seater version of the XL6. The MPV is now available in a 6-seat configuration, with captain seats in the second row. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift is expected to arrive before the new Brezza and after the much needed Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift.
Mechanically, the XL6 makeover will be identical to the current model. The same 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine with 104PS and 138 Nm is expected to be used. The engine is now available with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
