2022 Mahindra Scorpio dimensions leaked ahead of June 27 reveal

New facts about the impending Mahindra Scorpio N have emerged due to a leaked owner's handbook, over a month after the official photographs of the Mahindra Scorpio-N were revealed.

According to the leaked paper, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N would be 4,662mm long and 1,870mm height. At 1,917mm, it will be 97mm wider than the current Scorpio. At the same time, the Scorpio-N will feature a 2,750mm extended wheelbase.

The Scorpio-N's wheelbase is 70mm longer than the Scorpio Classic, and it's approximately 206mm longer than the current model. This translates to greater space in the second row and more legroom for third-row passengers, who will also benefit from front-facing seats.

The Scorpio-N is somewhat larger than the Tata Safari in terms of size. The Safari has a length of 4,661mm, a height of 1,786mm, a width of 1,894mm and a wheelbase of 2,741mm.

The dashboard is also depicted in the owner's handbook, including schematics of the touchscreen infotainment system, automated temperature control, and twin-dial instrument cluster. The SUV will come with the current iteration of ESP, as well as traction control, descent control, cruise control, drowsiness recognition, and six airbags. It will, however, most likely lose out on ADAS.

The Scorpio-N will be available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. A 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be available. While dealer-level unofficial reservations have begun, Mahindra is likely to open official books on June 27 in conjunction with the Scorpio-pricing N's announcement.
