Yamaha launches the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and the Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid at Rs 76,830 ex-showroom
The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid, a scooter intended for energetic riders, and the Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid, which provides an adrenaline rush for those seeking adventure, were both unveiled today by India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd.
The new RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid is aimed at a unisex audience in the 18 and 40 year age bracket who are looking for a scooter that looks unusual, is powerful, and fuel-efficient, in an attempt to give a thrilling riding experience to its consumers under the brand direction 'The Call of the Blue.' The Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid, on the contrary, is aimed at a unisex audience between the ages of 18 and 25, who are seeking a scooter that is high on adventure thrill, has an aggressive design, and is packed with performance while yet being fuel-efficient.
The new RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid is driven by an air-cooled, fuel-injected (Fi), 125cc blue core engine that generates 8.2PS at 6500rpm and 10.3 Nm at 5000rpm, with pricing beginning at Rs 76,830 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both scooters will still weigh in at 99kg.
The new RayZR 125 Fi and Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid come standard with a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) System, which functions as an electric motor to provide power assistance when accelerating from a stop, reducing the insecurity caused by the wobble during start-outs in tandem riding or during uphill climbs. The Power Assist feature is turned off about three seconds after beginning, or when the throttle is cut back or the engine rpm reaches the specified limit.
By reversing the direction of power release, the SMG also functions as a motor, giving benefits such as a Quiet Engine Start System and an Automatic Stop & Start System. The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and the Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid also include a Side Stand Engine Cut off Switch, which is a standard and obligatory feature on all Yamaha two-wheelers in India.
The disc brake version of the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid & Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid features advanced LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster with an indicator to show when the Hybrid System is operating, 190mm front disc brake with "Unified Brake System (UBS)," and Bluetooth Connectivity with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X APP.
The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid disc brake variant and Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid both have Yamaha's Bluetooth-enabled Yamaha Motorcycle Connect-X App, which contains functions like answer back, locate my vehicle, riding history, parking record and hazard.
Street Rally colours include two new colours, sparkle green and matt copper, while the RayZR disc brake version comes in cocktail yellow, racing blue, cyan blue, matt red and metallic black.
