TVS Ronin 225 launched at a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh
The TVS Ronin 225 is the brand's first-ever motorbike in the neo-retro scrambler design, and it is introduced in India for a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh.
The word Ronin, which means "samurai without lord or master," is of Japanese origin. A circular headlamp with contemporary LED lights in the shape of a 'T' is added to the motorcycle. The single-piece seat in the back retains the same design language, and thin tail light is nestled neatly under it. It also receives a bed pan to conceal the black engine.
The Ronin 225cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine produces 20.4PS at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of maximum torque at 3,750 rpm. It is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Its components include a monoshock with a seven-step preload adjustment and front forks that are turned upside down. Braking is done by a 240mm rotor in the back and a 300mm disc up front.
The Ronin continues TVS' tradition of incorporating intriguing features into its products. The headlight, tail lamp, and tail lights all have a full-LED lighting arrangement. And each of them has a distinctive look. While the indicators resemble those on the BMW G310 series, the headlamp has a "T" DRL. A modern tail lamp completes the appearance.
In addition, the Ronin has an LCD instrument cluster that is positioned asymmetrically and has a TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth module that can link to a special smartphone application to provide some relevant data. You also receive a slipper clutch, the Glide Thru technology, and two ABS modes: Rain and Road.
The TVS Ronin 225 has three variants, a single-tone version, a dual-tone version, and a triple-tone version. The three variants may be distinguished by their colour schemes. The Ronin's most cheap version, though, will set you back Rs. 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The dual-tone model, on the other hand, costs Rs 5,000 more, or Rs 1.55 lakh. However, if the triple-tone colour scheme appeals to you, it will cost you Rs. 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
