The all-new Triumph Tracker 400 priced at Rs 2.46 lakh (ex-showroom) has been introduced to the Indian market. Drawing clear inspiration from flat track racing, the motorcycle combines retro design cues with a sport-oriented setup.

Key design elements include a sculpted, boxy fuel tank with knee recesses, a compact flyscreen, flat and wide handlebars, and a seat cowl. Enhancing its race-bred aesthetic are side-mounted number boards and newly designed dual-spoke wheels. Triumph is offering the bike in- Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, and Aluminium Silver Gloss, each finished with bold graphics that underline its tracker-inspired identity.

Engine

At the heart of the motorcycle is Triumph's updated TR-series 350cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 40 PS at 8,750 rpm. The engine is paired with a torque-assist clutch as well. According to the manufacturer, the Tracker 400 features a dedicated chassis and revised ergonomics, including repositioned footpegs.

Cycle parts

The bike is equipped with a 43 mm upside-down front fork and a gas-charged rear monoshock, both offering 140 mm of suspension travel. Braking is handled by a front disc with four-piston radial calipers and a rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. It rides on cast aluminium wheels fitted with MRF REVZ FD1 tyres, balancing road grip with its flat-track-inspired stance.

Feature highlights include switchable traction control, a seat height of 805 mm, and a single-pod analogue-digital instrument cluster. Triumph has also paid attention to detail by integrating wiring neatly to preserve the bike's clean, classic appearance.

Expanding the 350cc portfolio

Alongside the Tracker 400, Triumph is broadening its mid-capacity offerings in India with new 350cc variants across models like the Triumph Speed 400, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and Triumph Thruxton.
