Tata Punch and Altroz CNG set to launch in the first half of 2023
Tata Motors showcased the CNG versions of the Punch and Altroz at the Auto Expo 2023, and these models are now confirmed to be launched in India by June 2023.
The same 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 77PS and 97Nm, will power both the Altroz and Punch when the CNG option is chosen. The same engine produces 86PS and 113Nm in its normal petrol configuration. The ordinary petrol trims also come with an optional five-speed AMT, while the CNG variants will only have a five-speed manual transmission.
The split-tank design was used to give CNG owners a boot that is actually useful. The precise amount of baggage space for the Altroz and Punch CNG hasn't been disclosed by Tata, though. The boot space for the Altroz and Punch standard models is 345 litres and 366 litres, respectively.
Six airbags, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, an electric sunroof, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system from Harman, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a height-adjustable driver seat, and leatherette seats are some of the features of the new Tata Altroz CNG that stand out.
An electric sunroof, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, an armrest for the second row, automatic temperature control, and 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels are just a few of the amenities that the future Tata Punch iCNG will have.
