Suzuki Burgman Street EX arrives at Intermot 22
Suzuki rolled out the Burgman Street EX 125cc scooter at the Intermot show this year. Essentially, the Burgman Street EX is the same Burgman Street that's sold out here in India. In markets abroad, like the UK, the Suzuki Burgman Street EX enters the 125cc scooter foray alongside the Address 125 (which we know as the Access 125) and the Avenis 125.
Although all three of the scooters that are sold out here share the same 124cc air-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder motor, the Burgman Street EX sold abroad gets the new Suzuki Eco Performance-Alpha (SEP-?) motor which makes fractionally less power but is lighter on CO2 emissions as well. The motor, which is still 124cc, generates a max power of 8.5PS while peak torque is at 10Nm. The gearbox is CVT. Suspension duties are carried out by a telescopic fork at front and swingarm type rear suspension. All three scooters are available with disc-drum setup with combined brake system.
In terms of features, the Burgman Street EX doesn't gets Suzuki's start-stop- idling system, the silent start system along with a glovebox with USB charging port, just like the scooter sold out here. The only change with the scooter comes in the form of a flatter grab rail because the scooter available internationally can accommodate the additional 27-litre top box.
