The Indian driver took his first win in the series at the second race of the weekend at Hungaroring, propelling him to the head of the championship standings. Jehan Daruvala became the first Indian to win a race at the Hungaroring F1 circuit.
Aston Martin starts production of DB11's new V12 engine
Aston Martin announced that it has commenced the production of a new engine for the upcoming DB11. The power unit is a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 with power figure of 608PS and 700Nm of torque. To improve efficiency and emissions, the engine gets cylinder bank activation and start-stop technology.
Force Motors opens engine assembly plant for Mercedes-Benz in Chakan, Pune
Force Motors has inaugurated a new assembly plant in Chakan, Pune for exclusively assembling Mercedes-Benz India petrol and diesel engines. The plant is adjacent to Mercedes-Benz's facility and spread across 1.3 lakh sq.ft. of area. This facility has eight assembly lines and can assemble up to 14 engines in four-cylinder and V6 configurations.
2016 Volkswagen Polo GTI Cup: Anindith Reddy scores a podium in his international race debut at China
Anindith Reddy, who won the 2015 Volkswagen Vento Cup, was out in China last weekend racing in the third round of the Volkswagen Polo GTI Cup. While Race 1 didn't end very well for him due to a stalled start, Reddy managed to get the win in Race 2, his debut international win in his racing career.
