Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift launched in India; prices start at Rs 6.50 lakh

Nissan India has launched the new Magnite EZ-Shift AMT in India with prices starting at Rs 6.50 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The new Magnite AMT is available in a choice of four variants: XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium, along with the recently launched Kuro Special Edition. It is to be noted that this introductory pricing is applicable only until 10 November, 2023.

Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift: Powertrain

The new Magnite EZ-Shift is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72PS and 96Nm of torque. This motor now comes mated to a new AMT transmission along with a five-speed manual gearbox. There is also a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol unit that makes 100PS and 160Nm/152Nm of torque. It is paired with a five-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. With the AMT transmission, the Magnite claims to give out a mileage of 19.70kmpl, as per ARAI, while the fuel economy for the naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox is rated at 19.35kmpl.

Not to mention, the carmaker has introduced a new dual-tone paint job comprising blue and black shades with the Magnite AMT. The standard features of the Magnite EZ-Shift include Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP).

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Srivastava, MD, Nissan Motor India, said, "Nissan Magnite has been a game-changer, setting new benchmarks with its strong value proposition, top-tier safety ratings, and low cost of ownership. The Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift, launched today at a very aggressive introductory price, breaks boundaries as the most accessible affordable AMT in SUV, sedan, and hatchback categories and is a game changer for accessible convenience for a wider range of customer preferences for a seamless exciting driving experience."

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition

Recently, Nissan launched the Magnite Kuro Special Edition in India with prices starting at Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the XV variant of the standard Magnite, this special edition of the SUV is available across two engines and two transmission options. The Magnite Kuro Edition celebrates its long-running partnership with ICC Men Cricket World Cup 2023. It gets a wider inside rearview mirror, a wireless charging pad, new floor mats, centre console armrest with rear air-con vents, and a 360deg around view monitor.
