The boxy minivan has a length of 4,995 mm and a large wheelbase of 3,000 mm. It is also 1,850 mm wide, with a height of 1,935 mm or 1,945 mm depending on the model and trim level. In a 2+2+2 configuration with second-row captain's seats, the Vellfire can seat up to six passengers.

The new Vellfire is based on Toyota's TNGA-K platform. The new MPV looks sleeker and more sporty than the previous model sold here, with a big front grille resembling a Lexus, better-integrated headlights with the bonnet, and DRLs placed below it.

In profile, the Vellfire's glasshouse is now a single unit with a noticeable kink and blacked-out pillars with a chrome outline. It gets a very familiar-looking V-shaped tail-lamp enclosure with ample chrome trim, noticeable Vellfire badging, and a large Toyota logo in the centre.

The India-spec Vellfire comes with a hybrid powertrain. It will get a 2.5 litre, four-cylinder petrol-hybrid unit that produces 250PS and 240 Nm of torque and mated to an e-CVT. Toyota claims that the Vellfire will return a healthy 19.28kmpl.

A big, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, automated parking brake, cruise control, moonroof, and wireless charging are among the other attractions. 7 SRS airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control, ABS, braking assist, EBD, hill start assist control, and a blind spot monitor are included in the safety kit.

As of now the Vellfire won't face any competition but will do so once the new Lexus LM is launched in India.
