New Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition launched; prices start at Rs 8.27 lakh
Nissan has launched the new Magnite Kuro Edition in India with prices starting from Rs 8,27,000 (ex-showroom). Based on the XV variant of the standard Magnite, this special edition of the SUV is available across two engines and two transmission options. The Magnite Kuro Edition celebrates its long-running partnership with ICC Men Cricket World Cup 2023.
New Nissan Kuro Edition: Exterior and interior
The word Kuro is a Japanese word for Black. As the name suggests, the Magnite Kuro Edition gets an all-black exterior paint job, including blacked-out elements, such as the radiator grille, skid plate, alloy wheels, roof rails, and headlights. The SUV also features Kuro badges. On the inside, the dashboard comes with "patterned film and gloss end finisher" and black cabin inserts and door trim highlights.
New Nissan Kuro Edition: New Features
As a part of the Kuro Edition, the Magnite now gets a wider inside rearview mirror, a wireless charging pad, new floor mats, centre console armrest with rear air-con vents, and a 360deg around view monitor. Nissan has already started offering several safety features as standard on the Magnite and they also continue in the Kuro Edition, such as Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP).
New Nissan Kuro Edition: Powertrain
To start with, Nissan's Magnite Kuro Special Edition is available in a choice of three variants: the Magnite XV MT, Magnite Turbo XV MT, and Magnite Turbo XV CVT. Thus, it is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72PS and 96Nm of torque and a 1.0-litre, inline three-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit that produces 100PS and 160Nm (152Nm with CVT) of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
New Nissan Kuro Edition: Pricing
The Magnite Kuro XV MT Kuro costs Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom). The Magnite Turbo XV MT Kuro is priced at Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Magnite Turbo Kuro CVT Kuro comes with a price tag of Rs 10.46 lakh (ex-showroom).
