New Ather 450 Apex India launch on 6 January
Ather Energy has announced that it will launch the new performance-oriented 450 Apex in India on 6 January, 2024. It announced the the news via its social media handles. That being said, the bookings for the upcoming electric scooter are already underway, with customer deliveries will begin in March 2024.
New Ather 450 Apex: Performance and Range
The upcoming Ather 450 Apex will introduce a new Warp+ riding mode. As the name suggests, it will likely be the most powerful electric scooter after the 450X and 450S. The current e-scooters come with Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp modes.
Further, the 450 Apex could get the same 3.7kWh battery pack as the 450X, however, it is expected to feature a more powerful electric motor exceeding the power output of 6.4kW of the 450X, resulting, a quicker 0-40kmph acceleration compared to the 3.3 seconds of the 450X. The e-scooter might also boast a higher top speed of 100kmph as against 90kmph of its sibling. On the flip side, its performance-focussed character could affect the range. For example, the 450X has a certified range of 150km, while the true range is 110km.
New Ather 450 Apex: Features and Specifications
The new Ather 450 Apex is expected to come equipped with all the features available with the 450X, including a few additions, such as advanced regen, cruise control, and crawl control. It is likely to keep features, such as an auto-hold function, OTA updates, Ather connect services, and a single disc setup at both ends.
New Ather 450 Apex: Price
The upcoming 450 Apex is likely to attract a higher premium of Rs 15,000-25,000 over the 450X, which, with a 3.7kWh and 2.9kWh battery packs, cost Rs 1,44,921 and Rs 1,37,999 (both ex-showroom, Bangalore) respectively. On the other hand, the 450S is priced at Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom).
