New Aprilia RS 457 launched in India; prices start at Rs 4.10 lakh
Aprilia has finally launched the new RS 457 in India at the India Bike Week (IBW) 2023 at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom). India's one of the largest motorcycling events, the IBW 2023, kicked off in Vagator, Goa today and will conclude tomorrow, on 9 December in Vagator, Goa. In fact, it is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. It is to be noted that the new RS 457 will be the first motorcycle from the brand, to be manufactured at the Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited facility in Baramati, Maharashtra.
Aprilia RS 457: Powertrain
Powering the RS 457 is a new 457cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that delivers 47.58PS (35kW) at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Aprilia RS 470: Design
The RS 457 bears a sporty design language, which draws the design inspiration from its elder siblings, such as the RS 660 and RSV4. The true-blue supersport looks extremely aggressive, with sharp lines, angular panels and daytime running lights, along with contours dominating the bodywork.
Aprilia RS 457: Highlights
The RS 457 comes fitted with a five-inch TFT colour display, all-LED lighting, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, traction control, backlit handlebar controls, quick-shifter, three riding modes.
With its aluminium frame, the dry weight is rated at 159kg, whereas the wet weight is 175kg wet. The supersport comes with upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, a 320mm front disc with a radial-mounted four-piston calliper, and a 220mm rear disc.

It takes on the likes of the KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R3. That said, Aprilia has already launched the RS 457 in the United States and Canada at $6,899 and $7,799, respectively.
