Maruti Suzuki adds a touch of sport to the Swift RS, for limited period only
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched a limited-edition sports edition for one of its most successful cars, the Swift. The Swift RS (RS for Rally Sport) enhancement package comes for the mid variants - the VXi and the VDi - and has been made available at all Swift dealers. The RS package has been priced at Rs 24,500, and is part of Maruti Suzuki's celebrations planned for the Swift approaching 10 lakh cumulative sales mark.

The Swift RS exteriors comprises a three-piece body kit that includes front and rear bumper enrichment and a roof spoiler, black and blue rally-sport inspired decals, and a paint job to enhance its sporty aura. Also being brought in are black wheel covers, giving the Swift RS a touch of robustness. Rear view mirrors come in signature blue colour. The RS is also equipped with a unique illuminated Swift logo at the sill on all four doors.
On the inside, the upholstery is crafted in art leather with black and blue combination in line with the RS's signature exteriors. Floor mats carry the rally theme. This special edition of the Swift has been given a top-of-the-line stereo system with a CD player, AUX-in, USB and Bluetooth facility.
"The Swift RS is in continuation of Maruti Suzuki's celebrations planned around Swift model as it moves towards the 1 million cumulative sales mark.Swift has cumulatively sold over 9.6 lakh units since its launch in May 2005. We are confident that the limited edition Swift RS will be ideal for customers who look to further enhance the sporty character and style of the Swift. All this comes with a much higher value worth than the price customer pays for Swift RS package," said Manohar Bhat, vice president (Marketing), Maruti Suzuki India.
