Made-in-India Honda Elevate launched in Japan as WR-V
Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has announced that the made-in-India Elevate SUV has been introduced in its home market, Japan, as the new WR-V. This is for the first time in HCIL's history that a car manufactured in India is being exported to Japan. A few weeks ago, Honda also introduced the made-in-India Elevate in the South African market and also made it available to the armed forces at CSD outlets at a special price.
The carmaker has been exporting its made-in-India to left-hand drive markets, such as Turkey, Mexico, and Middle East along with right-hand drive markets, namely Bhutan, Nepal, South Africa, and SADC region. That being said, Honda has delivered over 30,000 units of the Elevate in the country in the past six months.
Honda Elevate: Engine specifications
The Elevate comes with a 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine mated to six-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. This motor produces 121PS and 145Nm of torque. Notably, the manual and CVT transmissions give out a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.31kmpl and 16.92kmpl, respectively.
Honda Cars March 2024 Discounts
Honda is offering big discounts across the line-up this month. For the Elevate, the offer includes a cash discount of Rs 50,000. Whereas, the customers planning to purchase the City can benefit from discounts of up to Rs 1,19,500. Lastly, the Amaze is being offered with up to Rs 90,000 off. It is to be noted that the discounts are subject to stock availability, colour, variant, eligibility criteria, and location.
