Live updates: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 India launch
Royal Enfield's newest offerings, the parallel twin powered Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are set to be launched in India today. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are easily the most anticipated motorcycles of 2018. We'll be taking you through the launch here and also revisit everything we've told you about the two motorcycles so far.

There will be three trim levels for the 650 Twins, Base, Custom and Chrome. The prices include 3-year warranty and 1 year Road Side assitance. Some states will have lower pricing to keep the bike under Rs 3 lakh ex-showtroom
The lowest prices are for the base trim level. This costs ₹2.65 lakh for the Continental GT and ₹2.50 lakh for Interceptor 650 ex-showroom.

Disc brakes handle braking and dual-channel ABS is standard. Basic telescopic forks and a twin gas-charged rear shocks make up the suspension. All this is mounted to an all-new double cradle frame which does remind you of the GT 535's frame but is actually completely new.

The Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are powered by the same engine, which is an all-new, parallel-twin unit. This 648cc motor puts out 47PS at 7,100rpm and 52Nm at 4,000rpm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycles also get a slip-assist clutch.
