Live updates: Honda CB 350 cruiser launch, to rival Royal Enfield

Honda 2Wheelers is all set to launch their first-ever cruiser motorcycle in India, which will mainly rival the Classic/Thunderbird range as well as the upcoming Meteor 350 from Royal Enfield. While there aren't many details, for now, the upcoming Honda motorcycle, which is being referred to as the Highness, could be powered by a single-cylinder 350-400cc engine. One of the popular model names that have been speculated online is that of the Rebel 300. However, we believe it will be an all-new offering that has been specifically designed for the Indian market. This one will be retailed through Honda's Big Wing India network.

    For now, the Honda CB 350 will be displayed at some of the key Big Wing India dealerships in Gurgaon, Mumbai and other regions, wherein customers can get a look and feel of the motorcycle.

    Honda is quite confident of aggressive pricing, at around Rs 1.9 lakh ex-showroom, as the motorcycle has 90 per cent localization and is being manufactured in the country. Actual pricing will be revealed later.

    The engine will also offer refinement and smooth performance, stated Honda. The company mentions that the engine note, mainly the "thump" played a big role in development. It will come with a large tailpipe of 45mm that optimizes balance with the muffler capacity, producing a bold low-pitched sound.
