Launched: 2013 Volkswagen Polo SR in India at Rs 6.27 lakh

Volkswagen India has launched the Polo SR variant in India at a starting price of Rs 6.27 lakh, ex-Delhi. The Polo SR features cosmetic upgrades to the regular Polo like front and rear skirts, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear roof spoiler and chrome exhaust. As of now, the Street Racer (SR) is being offered only in the 1.2-litre petrol engine variants with all the interiors features retained from the Highline trim.

Commenting on the introduction of the SR, Arvind Saxena, managing director, Volkswagen passenger cars said "The Polo is an important carline in the Indian portfolio and we would like to continuously keep it relevant and exciting for our customers. The Polo SR is a good choice for those looking to own a sporty hatchback."
