KTM Duke 160 launched for Rs 1.85 lakh

The KTM 160 Duke has been launched for Rs 1.85 lakh and it replaces the KTM 125 Duke in the KTM India portfolio, making it the entry bike for the KTM brand.

The KTM Duke 160 uses a 164.2-cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that pushes 19 PS at 9500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine sits in a split trellis frame and the bike tips the scales at 147 kg.

The saddle height is at 815 mm and it has a ground clearance of 174 mm. The bike runs on 17-inch alloys with a 110 section tyre up front and a 140 section tyre at the rear. Braking duties are done by a 320 mm disc up front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, and suspension is managed by WP Apex USD fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. It has a fuel tank capacity of 10-litres and a ground clearance of 174 mm.

Noteworthy mentions include a five-inch LCD dash, all LED lighting, Off road ABS, SuperMoto Mode, and navigation to name a few. At Rs 1.85 lakh, the KTM Duke 160 locks horns with the likes of the Yamaha MT-15 which starts at Rs 1.69 lakh.
