KTM 390 Adventure R launched at Rs 3.78 lakh

The KTM 390 Adventure R is now listed on the India website with a price tag of Rs 3.78 lakh (ex-showroom) and it gets a different suspension and wheel setup when compared to the Standard 390 Adventure.

The KTM 390 Adventure R is equipped with a more off-road-focused suspension and wheel setup. It uses the same hardware as the 390 Enduro R available in the international market, offering 230mm of suspension travel at both the front and rear. The motorcycle gets a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination, shod with tubed Mitas Enduro Trail tyres. The bike is still powered by the same 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox featuring a bidirectional quickshifter. The engine pushes 46 PS at 8,500 rpm and 39 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is nestled in the same perimeter frame that we have seen on the standard ADV suspended by WP Apex suspension consisting of a USD fork up front and a monoshock at the rear with 230 mm of travel on either side.

In terms of rider aids, the bike gets ride-by-wire, off-road mode, ABS, a 14-litre fuel tank, 5-inch TFT dash, dual-channel ABS, all LED lighting, to name a few. The KTM 390 Adventure R will seat the rider at a saddle height of 880 mm and it has a ground clearance of 272 mm. And it is offered in a single paintjob - Ceramic White.

The KTM 390 Adventure R slots itself right in the middle of the Standard Adventure 390 and the Adventure 390 X. The Adventure R rivals the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and Triumph Scrambler 400 X to name a few.
The website showed that it can be booked online for a token amount of Rs 1,999 (fully refundable), but the page has been pulled down, we can expect formal communications or an update from the brand in the near future.
The Standard KTM Adventure 390 retails at Rs 3.96 lakh and the X will cost you Rs 3.28 lakh.
