Image gallery: BMW RnineT Racer revealed at Intermot 2016
What you see below is the new BMW RnineT Racer shown at the 2016 Intermot in Cologne, Germany. The RnineT was a retro-styled machine, and BMW has made it further more appealing by giving it a cafe racer like treatment. It offers a half fairing, hump rear seat, clip-on style handlebars and rear set footpegs. This one shares its motor and the chassis with the regular RnineT which means the 1,170cc motor continues to put out 110PS of peak power. The important change though is that the motor now complies with the cleaner Euro-IV emission standards. You can find all the details on the new BMW RnineT here. BMW states that the RnineT has got a shorter wheelbase compared to the Pure variant at 1,491mm
The cafe racer design bears a strong resemblance to the Concept 90 shown in 2013
The BMW RnineT racer retains the same motor which is now Euro-IV compliant and makes 110PS at 7,750rpm, and 116Nm of torque at 6,000rpm
It runs on 120/70 ZR 17 front and 180/55 ZR 17 rear tyres. The single swing arm gives it a clean and smart rear profile
The instrument cluster on the RnineT Races gets a combination of analogue and digital display. Don't miss the clip-on style handlebars
It features premium touches like footrests and fork bridges in forged aluminium
