Hyundai Motor India has introduced the facelifted Hyundai Creta and the new Creta N Line in the Indian market and now the brand is preparing to unveil the all-electric Creta SUV. The Hyundai Creta EV has been a topic of conversation among upcoming EVs for quite some time and now the car based on its facelifted model has been spotted testing under camouflage in South Korea.

Hyundai Creta EV: Exterior and Interior

It was reported that this test mule has the identical front face as the new Creta facelift. However, several distinguishing features on the test mule allowed it to be identified as an EV.

Some of the standout features are horizontal LED positioning lamps and DRLs, front turn signals with sequential function, and a muscular hood design. The car also has been rumoured to have its charging port placed at the front. The car spotted also has 17-inch alloy wheels which are more aerodynamically styled rather than the conventional design of the ICE car.

The majority of the features offered with the new Creta will be shared with the Creta EV. Some of the important features include integrated infotainment and instrument displays, a panoramic sunroof, front-ventilated seats, a wireless charger, an air purifier, a Bose premium sound system, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Creta EV will also provide a complete range of ADAS technologies possibly a few more than the Level 2 that is available on the current Creta.

Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain

There are no specifics about the electric motor or the battery pack. The Creta EV is projected to have a 45-50 kWh battery pack and a stated range of up to 450 kilometres on a single full charge. This SUV will also have a rapid charging option, similar to that found on the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The Ioniq 5 can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 21 minutes with an ultra-fast charger.
