You may think the smaller downsized engines you get aren't as good a deal. Volkswagen here has turned this supposed downer in their favor with the TSI. The term has been a part of Volkswagen cars since quite some time now, but with the revamped 1.0 litre TSI engines the Virtus and Taigun are winning hearts all over the country. The TSI on the Virtus goes perfectly as it produces a whopping 115 HP and a 175 Nm of torque which by far is leading in the segment which has competitors with either larger engines or miss out on a turbocharger. The Taigun on the other hand shows promise and competes even beyond its segment with a great power output of 115 HP and 178 Nm torque.

Now we see Volkswagen offering the 1.0 litre TSI engine which produces ample power and that added torque from the turbochargers allows it to be equivalent to a larger engine. The Virtus and Taigun both do have 1.5 litre counterparts but the TSI always finds a special place in the enthusiast's heart. Why? TSI is iconic, produces ample power and torque despite keeping the performance and fuel efficiency at bay as per the current market requirements. This makes it the hit that it is and keeps pulling the sales of the Virtus and Taigun.

Volkswagen have made their cars more reachable to the Indian audience which is a constantly evolving mass who love cars but with a lot of conditions, they are here to match up to those and produce powerful, fuel efficient vehicles with great performance in the city or elsewhere. Volkswagen takes this opportunity to amplify the 1.0 l TSI across its segments of Taigun and Virtus and with the firecracker that the engine is it's confidently heading towards a stronger market presence in the near future.
