Citroen C5 Aircross home deliveries begin through online sales portal
Citroen India has begun home delivering the Citroen C5 Aircross after the launch of its product in the Indian market earlier this year. The French brand home delivered the first two C5 Aircross to customers in Surat and Chandigarh who bought the SUV online through the company's 'Buy Online' portal.
The online sales portal allows buyers in 50 cities across the country have the Citroen C5 Aircross home delivered to them direct from the factory. The 'Buy Online' portal is a full-fleged sales channel where buyers can see the SUV through a 3D configurator with help from a dedicated e-sales advisor. Buyers can also finance, insure and chose annual maintenance as well as warranty packages all online, even opting for a trade-in of their existing car. Customers get a car that has already been registered and road-legal when they chose this facility.
The online portal assists buyers with aftersales requirements also. They get country-wide RSA as well as the service on wheels facility. Owners can also book service appointments and make aftersales purchases through this portal.
The Citroen C5 Aircross SUV is based on the PSA Group's EMP2 modular lightweight architecture. Dimensionally, the C5 Aircross is 4,500mm long, 2,099mm wide, 1,710mm tall and has a 2,730mm wheelbase. Powering it is a 1,997cc four-cylinder turbo-diesel motor named DW10FC. This unit puts out 177PS at 3,750rpm and 400 Nm at 2,000 rpm and has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 18.6 kmpl. This is paired with an Aisin eight-speed torque-converter sending power to only the front wheels. There are two drive modes, eco and sport and five ESC-based traction modes - standard, snow, all terrain (mud, damp grass etc.), sand and traction control off.
