Car sales June 2021: Hyundai registers cumulative sales of 54,474 units

Hyundai India is currently the largest SUV maker in our market and that's been made possible thanks to products like the Creta and Venue. Compared to June 2020, Hyundai India has made a huge comeback with sales increased by 89.9 per cent. The exports in June 2020 were 5,500 units compared to 13,978 units in June 2021. In total, Hyundai posts 103.1 per cent sales growth in June 2021.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr Tarun Garg, Director of Sales, Marketing and Service, Hyundai said, "With markets opening up and improvement in customer sentiments, Hyundai is committed to deliver innovative and world class quality products and services meeting and exceeding customers aspirations. The newly launched Hyundai ALCAZAR has been receiving tremendous customer and media response setting some new benchmarks in the industry. The June month saw HMIL creating another milestone of producing the fastest 10 million cars in India since inception, an achievement we are immensely proud of."

The best-selling models from Hyundai are Grand-i10 Nios, Creta, Venue, and Verna. Hyundai India also launched the Hyundai Alcazar recently that is the 7-seat derivative of the Creta. The Alcazar received over 4,000 bookings on the launch day itself and is expected to outsell its competition. Hyundai Alcazar comes powered with 2.0-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines and both can also be had with 6-speed automatic. Hyundai has priced the all-new Alcazar from Rs 16.30 lakh whereas the top-end Signature trim is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh ex-showroom, India.
