Audi India launch the e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT from Rs 1.79 crore onwards

Audi will go fully electric by 2033 and the process to achieve the all-electric mark starts now, as Audi India has now launched the Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT at Rs Rs 1.79 crore and Rs 2.04 crore respectively.

The Audi e-tron GT is an all-new fully electric sports car that offers sportiness, exclusivity and comfort in one package. The Audi RS e-tron GT is unlike any other RS model from Audi. It is the most powerful series-production vehicle Audi has ever manufactured. The Audi e-tron GT range is built around the Porsche Taycan. Like the Taycan, the e-tron GT is an all-electric four-door coupe. The Tesla Model S and Mercedes-Benz EQS, as well as the Taycan, are competitors.

The 83.7kWh and 93.4kWh Lithium-ion battery in the Audi RS e-tron GT and Audi e-tron GT, respectively, provides a range of 401–481 km for the Audi RS e-tron GT and 388–500 km for the Audi e-tron GT.

Both EV's come with dual electric motors, with the e-tron GT making 475PS and 630 NM of torque while its RS version produces 598PS and 830 Nm of torque. High-power charging with 800 Volt technology and up to 270 kW charging power takes around 22 minutes to charge the Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT from 5 percent to 80 percent.

All that power is sent to all 4 wheels through Audi's Quattro system, which can make the Audi RS e-tron GT accelerate from 0-100 kph in a mouth-watering 3.3 seconds and the Audi e-tron GT will take a mere 4.1 seconds to do the same.

The Tungsten Carbide brake callipers provide improved stopping performance, heat dissipation, less brake dust and longer life, while the adaptive air suspension allows you to modify the car's characteristics from a comfortable GT to a quick supercar. Audi also offers launch control, a carbon fibre roof that helps to reduce weight by about 12 kg, an e-tron acoustic sound generator with sports sound that creates an emotional background noise effect and all-wheel steering and electromechanical power steering plus, which steers the rear wheels in the same or opposite direction as the front wheels.

The GT is the most aerodynamic of any current R/RS models. It comes with R20 5-spoke aerodynamic module styling, black diamond-turned alloy wheels, a single frame and honeycomb-patterned radiator grille in light Hekla grey, a rear diffuser, and plenty more. Ibis white, Ascari blue, Daytona grey, Floret silver, Kemora grey, Mythos black, Suzuka grey, Tactics green, and Tango red are the nine exterior colours offered for the Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT.

Audi virtual cockpit and MMI touch with a display of 12.3-inch and 10.1-inch come standard, as does a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, matrix LED headlights, lane departure warning system and cruise control and park assist plus package with 360-degree cameras.

The e-tron GT gets a standard warranty of two years and a High Voltage Battery warranty of eight years or 160,000 km. Extended Warranty options are available across a period of 2 plus 2 years or 2 plus 3 years.

Audi India had already commenced the bookings for the new Audi e-tron GT 2 weeks prior to the launch at a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT can be booked online or at the nearest Audi India dealership.
