Aprilia SXR 160 maxi-scooter to enter production soon, launch expected in January 2021
Piaggio India will soon start production of its upcoming maxi-scooter the Aprilia SXR 160. Though the launch was expected to take place in November this year, the ongoing situation of COVID19 made the Italian automobile manufacturer postpone its places. While Piaggio is announced that the launch is expected to happen soon, the company has not revealed a launch date fore the SXR 160, which we believe could happen in January 2021.
Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, the Apilia SXR 160 will be offered with a 160cc BSVI, three-valve fuel-injected engine. Among its key highlights are LED twin headlights and taillights with DRLs. It will offer a large storage area with USB charging in the front, integrated dark fly screen, large multifunction instrumentation, 12-inch 5 spoke petal machined alloys and chrome treated exhaust. The Aprilia SXR 160 is equipped with a large 210 cm sq. multifunctional all digital cluster that hosts multiple features. Customers can opt for the mobile connectivity accessory which connects user's mobile to the scooter and helps them in locating it, raising security alarm when needed, and if necessary, even immobilizing it.
Commenting on the occasion, Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director, Piaggio India said, "We are extremely excited to soon introduce the highly anticipated and a unique, premium proposition for our discerning customers. As promised at the Auto Expo 2020, we are gearing up for the production of Aprilia SXR 160 in India and unfolding a new chapter for the scooter industry.
