Aprilia SXR 160 priced at Rs 1.25 lakh, ex-showroom
Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Aprilia has launched the SXR 160, their flagship offering, at Rs 1.25 lakh, ex-showroom. This maxi styled scooter is being manufactured at the company's Baramati plant along with the SR and Vespa range of scooters. The company had commenced the bookings of the scooter in the county, wherein the dealerships have started receiving the scooters. Aprilia India is accepting online bookings on its dedicated website as well as physical stores with a booking amount of Rs 5,000. It will be available in Glossy Red, Matt Blue, Glossy White and Matt Black colours.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director, Piaggio India said, "We are delighted to launch the much-anticipated premium scooter, Aprilia SXR 160 for all our distinguished customers in India. Designed in Italy, for India, the Aprilia SXR 160 is an epitome of great style, high performance and great comfort. Available at all dealerships across India, we believe that this scooter will set high standards in the Indian premium two-wheeler market and will be a testament of Piaggio's upcoming plans for India."
Powering the Aprilia SXR 160 is the same single-cylinder air-cooled unit from the SR 160, wherein the 160cc engine churns 11PS of power and 11Nm of torque. The state of tune has been left unchanged except that the peak power and torque output numbers come in at a lower rpm. We have already ridden the Aprilia SXR 160 and here's a detailed link to our first ride review.
