2026 Kawasaki Ninja 250 and Z250 revealed

Kawasaki has revealed the 2026 Ninja 250 and Z250, featuring a few updates for its quarter-litre twins in Japan, focusing mainly on aesthetics while retaining the mechanicals.

  • The Ninja 250 is being offered in grey with yellow accents and white with red streaks, while the Z250 is presented in a black and grey trim for 2026. Bodywork, frame and styling remain unchanged.
  • In Japan, both models are expected to be available from November 2025.
  • The 2026 versions receive new colour schemes with specifications remaining unchanged.

Both models continue to be propelled by a 248cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 34.98PS and 22Nm of torque. The transmission remains the 6-speed gearbox with suspensions including telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, braking is handled by a 310mm disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels, has a fuel tank capacity of 14L, and 14mm ground clearance.

The Z250 features a modern LCD instrument cluster, while the Ninja 250 retains a semi-digital console. Kawasaki has not confirmed an India launch for these models, but the brand already offers the Ninja 300 in India, which is the closest comparable twin offering in the country. In Japan, the pricing for the 2025 models is set at ¥726,000 (approx. Rs 4.21 lakh) for the Ninja 250 and ¥704,000 (approx. Rs 4.08 Lakh) for the Z250.
