The Ducati XDiavel V4 is powered by the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine which features a counter-rotating crankshaft that reduces gyroscopic effect and thus increasing nimbleness. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox that uses a bi-directional quickshifter, and the engine pushes a healthy 168 PS and 125.6 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The company claims a 0-100 kmph sprint in less than three seconds. The engine also features the familiar extended cylinder deactivation system, it switches off the rear cylinder bank not only when stationary but also when riding at low revs under reduced engine load.

In terms of looks, the sports cruiser stands out with bold shapes, muscular tank, the single-sided swingarm, and the aggressive four-exit exhaust. It can be had in two striking colourways - Burining Red and Black Lava. It gets full-LED front and rear light clusters, including the double C profile DRLs and dynamic direction indicators integrated into the side panels. There is a "Welcome Effect" that is initiated when the bike is turned on which adds to the bike's sophistication.
The bike boasts a 240/45 section tyre that is shod on five star-shaped spoke rims with machined surfaces. This accents the overall character of the bike. For rider comfort, the seat height is set at 770 mm and the handlebar is set back and lower compared to the XDiavel 1260. The rear suspension features increased travel of 25 mm. And for those looking for a spirited riding position, the company offers a special kit to move the footpegs rearward, and an accessory tail fairing that can transform the XDiavel V4 into a single seater.

In terms of rider aids, the bike offers three power modes and four riding modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet. Other mentions include 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, power launch, cruise control, a 6.9-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth tethering, and optional turn-by-turn navigation.
